At MAUL, it is our culture to give back to society through support of our Implementing Partners (IPs), to celebrate the wonderful work they do to save the lives of our nation. MAUL prizes this inherent sense of responsibility and each individual MAUL staff contributed personal savings and buy tangible gifts for recipient IPs and patients that access services on a daily basis. In the spirit of the MAUL family, our annual beneficiary was Villa Maria Hospital, who received the amount of 5,000,000 UGX on December 6th, 2013 to put up state-of-the-art shelves which will properly accommodate drugs delivered by MAUL and maintain good quality storage of life saving medicines.

As beneficiaries of this years ‘Restoring Hope Initiative’ we emphasized a strengthened relationship with this commendable health facility, and over the years Villa Maria has been receptive to MAUL staff. This year, a team set out to Villa Maria from MAUL headquarters, with the Director of Programs, Regional Field Support Coordinator, Data Management Assistant, Administration and Customer Care Officers, as the guest of Honors. MAUL staff arrived and began the day with a tour from our friends at Villa Maria, to acquaint ourselves with services offered at the new hospital Complex.
The restoring hope initiative remains a valued MAUL activity, and in 2009 and 2010 respectively, MAUL employees visited
the Mildmay Centre at Lweza on Entebbe road to understand the full range of services offered and to deliver donations. In 2011, the organization looked to another client who could benefit from this donation; The Baylor College of Medicine was that year’s beneficiary and received a playground with party refreshments. Last year MAUL directed their donations towards Reach out Mbuya, who received our team and gave us the true partnership experience.
MAUL looks forward to another year with our partners, to grow and collectively work towards strengthening the delivery of services to all those in need.
